Memoriam.
This installation is significant for the space in which it was created and exhibited - in the glass studio at UMPRUM.
It is based on the geometric drawing of wooden beams on the ceiling of the studio, which was naturally created there for several decades and is the oldest memory of this place. Its function was purely technical, mainly as a hanging system for the artworks that were created in the studio. This is where the artist saw the main strength of her artistic idea. To highlight the neglected objects that naturally and casually emerged and carried all the hardships, stories and desires of the students who ever passed through this place/studio...
Eventually, this basic idea of how to think about glass in architecture became a principle that the artist further developed in her projects.
The single objects are glass fused sculptures created by the artist from crystal and repeat glass.
