Drop.
This work is based on a long-term project in which the artist answers the question in her own unique way: How to catch a drop of water?
On this journey of discovery, she consciously imprinted it with her own emotion and in that moment it became a tear. This personal research explores the ways and principles of viewing the medium of tears through different techniques and principles.
The principle we see here is about a long and concentrated grinding of glass (from a single block of glass). This principle of looking around and finding the drop is under complete control and in constant contact with the artist from start to finish. It is a complete translation of emotion and energy into one object. I would describe it as a connection between soul and form.
In this work, it was important for the artist to find a medium within a society-wide context that would connect us all, so she chose tears.
