POMEZÍ by Jana Svobodová is the third exhibition of the Material Times series, in which the specifics of fabrics play a major role. The starting point of this exhibition is building materials, technical fabrics and their peculiar structures. The interplay of light and shadow creates a fascinating border between spatial installation, painting and printmaking, which are artistic media that the artist repeatedly works with.

We are stuck in a never-ending mediatization and technification of all the events around us. Everyone has to define for themselves the barriers through which they define themselves. We react to filters through which we sort the information that subsequently affects us. Can we even perceive the networks that surround us, intertwine or intercept and limit us? The artist has long experimented with the immediate medium of light and movement as another dimension of space, manipulating material and its meaning. She supports the function of building materials and their character, exploiting their advantages and taking them to the very edge of aestheticization. In this way, the observer can perceive a certain tension that arises in the relationship between the object and the viewer, and at the same time between the overall space, light and shadow. The aura that arises between these media can only radiate sufficiently as a result of their communication and confrontation.
